Most AI strategies produced for Bangladesh enterprises fall into one of two failure modes. The first is the vendor deck — built around a specific product, dressed as strategy, with every recommendation quietly pointing back to the same licence. The second is the consulting report — dozens of pages of framework language with no clear owner, no sequenced use cases, and no path a working team can actually follow.
Neither survives contact with reality. Boards get a document. Operators get no next step. Pilots stall because nobody agreed who owns execution, what skills are missing, or how success will be measured. Build-versus-buy decisions get made on demo theatre. Data strategy is deferred until after the tool is chosen — which is backwards. Governance is treated as an appendix instead of a constraint that shapes what you can ship.
A genuine AI strategy for a Bangladesh enterprise starts from evidence: readiness across data, processes, and people; a short list of use cases with honest business cases (not vendor-supplied projections); clear build-versus-buy and vendor posture; and a roadmap the organisation can run without forever depending on outside advisors.
